What is the meaning behind the band name?

It's funny because this question comes up a lot, and it's really not as deep as you may think. Ron came up with the name, and when he was asked this question, he replied, "Well, I love lions, and I love stars..." – fair enough!

A couple of quotes from the North Devon Journal in 2015 that you may find interesting...

What is the most embarrassing thing to have happened to you?

Jumping off stage at a gig in India and cutting the power by landing on the leads connecting all the lights and electrics.

Who are the artists that have most influenced Lionstar's sound?

Santana, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin & Bob Marley
